Syllabus:

Principles of drug distribution and elimination. Parameters of clearance and volume of distribution, elimination rate constant and half-life. Passage of drugs across biological membranes and relevance to absorption. Drug protein binding. Biochemistry andkinetics of drug metabolism. Induction and inhibition of metabolism. Renal drug elimination processes. Concepts of steady state and average plasma drug concentrations in relation to drug administration.
