Syllabus:

Sociology of education. Sociological history of mass education in Australia, Britain and America. Sociological theory of education. Development of mass education and education policy in post World War II Australia. Major policy documents and initiatives in schooling and higher education. Social, economic and political context, plus a major research paper.
