Different philosophies of mathematics such as logicism, formalism, platonism, constructivism, fallibilism, and their impact in theories of mathematics education. Historical theories of mathematics learning. The impact of recent theories in classroom practice, teachers' decision making in the mathematics classroom, the construction of curricula in mathematics - recent research in the teaching and learning of mathematics.
