Aspects or areas of literature chosen by the lecturers based on their interests and training and student request. Application of contemporary theories to particular texts, genres, periods and topics. Sample topics/areas - gender studies (including feminisms, masculinities, queer theory), post-colonialism, performance studies, utopian fiction and autobiography.
