Introduction

Designed to offer a program at graduate level in the theory and practice of tourism management. On successful completion of the program, students may be eligible to enrol for the Master of Tourism Management program.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelor's degree in a field other than business, economics or commerce, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. OR Graduate Certificate (in an appropriate discipline) OR Significant professional experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are not considered within this course.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is two semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some units are available in the evening.

Professional Recognition

Depending upon the major area of study chosen, graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management.

Career Opportunities

Graduates generally find employment positions that have an interest in or focus on services and tourism management activities in the middle managerial level.
