Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Constructed and understood broad historical frameworks in which to relate major movements and paradigms in architecture and interior architecture through the introduction of a number of fundamental architectural criticism and theory. Developed a detailed knowledge of key architectural, historical precedents and monuments - their aesthetics, construction, culture and context - covering a time period stretching from Pre-history to the Renaissance. Acquired an understanding of how architectural history has been constructed and carried out over time. Attained a competent level of individual analytical skills and research techniques. |
