Syllabus:

Sources of law, the judicial system, common law and statute law, fundamentals of contract law and torts, dispute resolution, legal rights of adjoining owners, registration acts, statute laws affecting building projects and copyright. Types of building contracts, contract documents and sub contracts.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- An understanding of legal issues relevant to contemporary professional practice in the disciplines.
