Substantial completion: Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (Design related) or a minimum of 5 years professional experience in a design related field. Post graduate Diploma in a design related field.

Syllabus:

A timetable is negotiated for studies with the Academic Supervisor and the Program Coordinator and the expectation is to meet regularly by prior arrangement and also consult subject experts or design professionals as appropriate. Any syllabus content will be on the advice of the Academic Supervisor or chosen by the student.
 

Unit Outcomes:

Upon completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated creativity and flexibility in the proposal and application of design knowledge and skills to new situations. Solved complex problems using rigorous and independent thought. Demonstrated a high order of skill and analysis, critical evaluation and/or professional application through the planning and execution of project work or a piece of scholarship or research. Demonstrated an ability to engage in reflective practice. Provided appropriate evidence of advanced theorectical and applied knowledge about selected design specialisation. Articulated the aims, objectives and outcomes of the project through a variety of means, making the most appropriate use of verbal and visual forms of documentation.
