Admission: Students should be in the final semester of the Postgrad. Diploma in Surveying and Mapping

Syllabus:

Postgraduate project. The investigation may be in any appropriate study area in surveying and mapping, provided it has the recommendation of a supervisor who is a member of staff in the Department of Spatial Sciences and the approval of the Head of Department. Students are expected to give a seminar to the class towards the end of the semester.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated the ability to undertake independent project work in an area of the spatial sciences, utilised available sources of reference information to investigate the current development status of their topic, planned, executed and evaluated the area to investigate the project topic, communicated the outcomes of the investigation by written and oral means.
