Syllabus:

Appropriate aims and purposes. Learning experiences to fit those aims. Organising and structuring of these experiences. Media and strategies which might be used. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the experiences. Each will be examined in relation to the needs of pupils with different abilities, backgrounds, interests and enthusiasms.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Understood and appreciated the development of the learner and have the knowledge and skills to make decisions in relation to appropriate pedagogy. Knowledge of reflective, self motivated and critical in their approach to learning. Understood and appreciated the knowledge which underpins education. Used appropriate resources and instructional technologies in teaching. Used interpersonal skills to enhance teaching and learning outcomes. Valued and implemented practices that promote personal and professional growth. Understood the historical context relevant to teaching and learning. Understood that values underpin and shape the curriculum, teaching and learning. Valued and demonstrated exemplary literacy and numerology knowledge and skills. Understood the culture of schools and are equipped to work individually and collaboratively in educational settings.
