Syllabus:

Focuses on the market from a business perspective and provides analytical tools which will help business understand its market. Looks at the firm in the market place, market structures, market failure, government regulation and microeconomic reform. Seeks to develop skills in economic environment scanning through aggregate demand analysis, understanding of the monetary system and monetary and fiscal policy interventions, international influences on domestic economies, implications of electronic business, Asian economic development. Is conducted in the context of Australian and Asian economies.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - A knowledge base in the business disciplines. Integrative thinking. Implemented management concepts. Reflective thinking. Managed different perspectives. Information and technology literacy.
