Syllabus:

Examines some of the current research and practice in management and organisation theory. Managers occupy key roles in society, and as organisations become increasingly complex and global, the role of the manager becomes more critical. Suitable for those interested in a career in general management and administration.
 

Unit Outcomes:

The program involves a presentation on developing theory in management, preparing a reflective diary relating to management and a final examination. On completion of this unit students will have - Identified some of the complexities in the theory and practice of management. Developed an understanding and appreciation of the responses needed in dealing with them.
