Syllabus:

Exploration and examination of emerging personal and cultural issues relating to Aboriginality and how it is applied in everyday life. Issues workshopped in this unit will include - identity and diversity, Aboriginal Terms of Reference, personal development, self-esteem, life and study skills.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have- The ability to identify current issues that are concerned with Aboriginal people, from an Aboriginal perspective. Described issues in contemporary Australian society such as attitude formation, cultural differences and beliefs and values. An awareness of own and other student's understandings of Aboriginality and identity. Defined and understood the notion of Aboriginal Terms of Reference. Demonstrated study skills and life skills.
