Syllabus:

Selection of an area of advance nursing based on staff expertise and compatibility with graduate nursing studies. Analysis and discussion of readings with implications for nursing research and nursing practice. The format is dependent on number of students interested in a particular area of study and may be offered as independent study or in a seminar.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated the ability to analyse existing knowledge related to the selected topic and suggest areas for further nursing knowledge development. Examined the implications of the selected topic for clients and a high risk population. Synthesised knowledge of a selected topic area in nursing. Demonstrated the ability to conceptualise nursing research issues in the selected topic area.
