Syllabus:

The structure of the financial system, the theory of financial intermediation, flow of funds and supply and demand for money, Central Banking and the money market, innovation and portfolio theory, interest and exchange rates, plus the operational efficiency and stability of the financial system.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have- An understanding of the institutional workings of modern money and capital markets. Criticaly evaluated their operational dynamics. Been introduced to theories of such markets.
