Syllabus:

An opportunity to develop knowledge and skill on the field of training and development. Participation in a wide range of activities appropriate to the training function. The culmination of the learning experience is the presentation of a training session.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Become familiar with the functions and purposes of training and development within enterprises. Acquired sound theoretical knowledge of pertinent aspects of these areas through reading and research the focus of the course is on the development of practical expertise in training and communication and interpersonal skills. Defined and discussed the role of training and development in the enterprise. Identified training needs and defined training requirements. Designed and developed training plans, programs and assessment methods. Organised appropriate training resources. Delivered and evaluated training. Assessed and reviewed progress of trainees. Maintained training records and reports on training. Evaluated the cost effectiveness of training. Discussed and evaluated current policies and trends in the field.
