Syllabus: | Open-hole wireline logs and interpretation, cased hole logs and interpretation, measurement while drilling, coring and conventional core and special core analysis. |

Unit Outcomes: | On compeltion of this unit, students will have - A basic understanding of geology and geophysics employed in the petroleum industry. An understanding of the fundamental concepts of the earth in terms of petroleum occurrence, exploration and recovery. Knowledge of how reservoir structures are identified through the use of seismic data acquisition. |
