Syllabus:

Decision making in viticulture with special reference to climates, soils, grape cultivates and root socks. Vine physiology including bud initiation, fruit growth, fruit biochemistry, ampelography. Canopy management, vineyard technology, vine improvement.Vineyard factors affecting wine quality.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Explained the role of new and advanced aspects of viticultural technology. Described the role of viticultural technology in vineyard management. Explained the vineyard factors affecting wine quality.
