Syllabus:

To design and build a major pump or aeration component of a recirculating aquaculture system.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have- Examined an engineering related problem in an aquaculture system that requires construction of a pumping or aerating device (eg. paddlewheel aerator). Discussed design and construction options relating to the engineering problem. Synthesised skills developed in previous skills: i.e. Fibreglassing, welding, pumping option and their appropriate application.
