Information access and retrieval, nursing informatics. Law and ethics. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Interpreted constraints and variables impacting on remote area nursing practice. Critically analysed the expanded role and professional responsibilities associated with the independent practice of nurse practitioners. Demonstrated comprehension of legal and ethical implications associated with the expanded practice role and scope of remote area nursing practice for nurse practitioners. Evaluated performance standards that apply to remote area nursing practice and the nurse practitioner role. Prepared a major reflective academic paper, on pertinent professional issues, suitable for publication in a refereed journal or presentation at a professional forum. |
