Syllabus: | An examination of the different approaches to understanding the nature of international relations in the new millennium, the essential characteristics of the international system, the state, power and security struggles, balance of power, policy making problems, domestic influence on policy making, international law, policy formulation, capabilities, military, economics, negotiations and communications. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Comprehensively understood major aspects of schools of thought. Analysed current and future developments in the world from an Industrial Relations perspective. Developed critical analytical skills to work in an international environment and an ability to formulate policy options. |
