Syllabus:

Environmental Noise - measurement, evaluation and statutory control of environmental noise, commensurate with the duties of Authorised Persons and Inspectors (Noise) pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act 1986. Occupational Noise Standards, Legislation and practice for an integrated approach to occupational noise management.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit the student will be able to - Demonstrate an understanding of environmental noise pollution, its effects on health, together with measurement evaluation and control. Demonstrate knowledge and skills to an introductory level in occupational noise evaluation, management and control.
