Syllabus: | Critical and theoretical perspectives that pertain to the interpretation of contemporary visual arts. Topics will vary according to the interests of speakers in relation to the exhibitions at the John Curtin Gallery. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- A knowledge of contemporary theoretical perspectives in visual culture. Developed a critical appreciation of concepts involved in the cultural production of meanings in visual culture. The ability to interpret various cultural forms and to place them within a broader context of knowledge. |
