Syllabus:

An introduction to the media institutions and practices in Australia.
 

Unit Outcomes:

To explore the diverse and expanding range of media forms, practices and institutions in Australia. To examine the process of production, circulation and consumption of media. To analyse the development of national 'community' (hegemonic, imagined and otherwise) through the media.
