Syllabus:

Basic communication skills with a particular focus on their application to addiction problems. Skills based with detailed attention given to in-class practice and feedback.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Describe and identify basic communication skills. Demonstrate an ability to use these communication skills. Describe the application of communication skills to working with people with addictive behaviours. Demonstrate an ability to apply these communication skills to addictive behaviour.
