Syllabus:

Basic Concepts of Quantum Theory. Wave Mechanics in One Dimension. Scattering Theory. Polyelectronic Atoms. Molecular Structure.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have investigated some of the key topics of modern quantum mechanics, applied them to a range of problems using computer packages and developed skills in algebraic computing techniques to solve selectedproblems.
