Syllabus:

The application of typing methods and epidemiology to studying the spread and transmission of infections. Surveillance techniques. Infection control in public health. The use of software packages such as EpiInfo.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated and understood the methods used for surveillance and for studying the epidemiology of infectious diseases.
