Syllabus: | The meaning of community, the role of the Internet in providing opportunities for virtual communities, the focus on 'community' within the Internet industry. The professional interaction through networked technology, to become a skilled leader and organiser of communities, partnerships and teams in a virtual realm. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- A better understanding of the socio-technological dynamics of Internet-based communications as constituted in virtual communities. A better understanding of the historical contexts of 'community'and theories of social networking and their application to ICT's. Participated in and managed virtual communities and teams |
