Syllabus:

The roles of technology in practical learning contexts. Computers and computer networks as professional tools within teaching. Matching technological sophistication levels with identified educational requirements. Typography, graphic depictions and the structuring of information. Designing an instructionally effective presentation of verbal and visual information. Evaluation of learning resources.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Used print based and electronic technologies effectively to perform a number of educational tasks for their own professional development and for your teaching development. Incorporated information and communications technology in a variety of educational modes such as support, tutorial, link, resource, exploration and control. Designed a unit of work (programme) integrating learning technology with instructional design techniques. Known where they are and where they want to go with learning technology in their classroom. Documented a school's learning technology situation using a technology planning framework.
