Syllabus:

Basics of desktop publishing. Awareness of audience. Layout - use of space and visual material. Costing. Liaising with graphic designers. Working with printers.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Created highly formatted word processing documents. Created documents that include images, tables and graphs. Prepared manuscripts for publication. Saved and stored created materials. Made a PowerPoint presentation. Opened, placed and manipulated information in a web page composition program. Converted material for the web. Created PDF formatted documents. Produced publishable documents with details of their production suitable for a professionalportfolio.
