Syllabus:

Development of critical thinking, reading and listening skills by analysing text, discussing and expressing views, generating questions and drawing conclusions. Information retrieval skills, presenting and participating in tutorials and seminars.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed critical thinking, reading and listening skills by critically analysing text, discussing and expressing views, generating questions, drawing conclusions. Oral skills associated with participation in and presentation of tutorials and seminars. Note-taking and note-making skills in preparation for essays, reports and seminars. Referencing skills. Information retrieval skills - CD Rom, Internet etc
