Syllabus:

A focus on two introductory modules concerned with the design of small scale masonry buildings. Construction and materials - properties and application of masonry components, internal building materials - basic window and door framing and related construction systems. Structures - related structural theory. Undertaking of project-based design exercises and access related building construction sites.
