Syllabus:

Skills and knowledge of first aid that may assist with saving lives in emergency situations. In addition, how to prevent hazardous situations occurring.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Recognise hazardous situations and take effective steps to prevent, reduce or eliminate hazards. Implement basic life support procedures in a variety of emergency situations. Effectively apply first aid treatment to casualties. Effectively provide for the emergency needs of the injured and ill.
