Syllabus: | Students will undertake a number of self initiated projects that will enable them to develop skills in the techniques and processes of one of the following specialisations within the visual arts amongst which could include - ceramics, drawing, experimental drawing, fibre/textiles, fashion, painting, print media, sculpture, jewellery/three-dimensional design, electronic arts, audio-visual, installation, photography, professional practicum. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have developed a portfolio of work demonstrating their ability to deal with a wide range of traditional and contemporary technologies and processes within their selected area. Identified and developed imaginative ideas and strategies for the conceptualisation and making of artwork. Demonstrated new skills and understood appropriate processes in exploring and making artworks. Demonstrated skills in working in a specific discipline of the visual arts. Successfully completed set projects using appropriate techniques and raw materials. |
