Syllabus:

An exploration of the elements and principles of the visual language. Students are encouraged to develop the formal, conceptual, analytical, experimental and expressive use of this language. Through set projects students will examine the effectiveness ofvarious solutions by testing possibilities and experimenting with a range of appropriate media.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated an appropriate level of independent judgement, imagination and commitment to enable them to develop ideas into coherent visual forms. Identified and developed imaginative ideas and strategies for the conceptualisation and making of artworks. Demonstrated skills in documenting and representing objects on a two dimensional surface. Successfully completed set projects using appropriate techniques and raw materials.
