Syllabus:

Where a formal lecture series addressing such areas as questionnaires, surveys, using the library, using and accessing electronic data bases, internet, using the media, report writing and presentation methods. The student undertaking this unit will be required to identify, research, present and produce a written report of 3000 words on their research methods used and their experiences relevant to their proposed final Design Project 692.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Identified and articulated professional experiences and issues confronted during their project research. Formulated and presented their research findings and research methodologies. Utilised electronic medium for sourcing and researching information. Competency in developing and or using surveys, interviews and questionnaires to source research information. Produced a sound and comprehensive research bibliography. Determined appropriate researchmethods applicable to their chosen area of research. Demonstrated the ability to engage interest, support and access to information relevant to the students chosen field of design inquiry.
