Syllabus: | Students will undertake a number of individually initiated projects, which will enable them to develop skills in the techniques and processes of one of the following specialisations within the visual arts - Clay and Glass, Fibre/Textiles, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Jewellery/Three Dimensional Design, Interactive Computer Image Processing, Audio Visual, Photography. Students will develop a portfolio of their work demonstrating their ability to deal with a wide range of traditional and contemporary technologies and processes within their selected specialism. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed an appropriate level of independent judgement, imagination and commitment enabling them to develop skills in working in a specific discipline of the visual arts. The ability to realise set projects using appropriate techniques and raw materials. |
