Syllabus:

Focuses on specific content and themes selected to meet students' needs and related to tertiary culture. Students read and respond to selected texts and complete a survey task and oral presentation task.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Shown development of independent learning skills. Efficient reading skills according to text type and purpose. Note making skills. An understanding of information literary systems. The ability torespond critically to spoken or written text. The ability to express opinions and present information in an academic forum.
