Syllabus:

Practice-oriented, incorporating the resolution of an architectural project to an appropriate level of detail. Each project will be tutored by a prominent local architectural practice with the input of various building consultants. The relationship between drawing, specifications, budgets, bills of quantity and contracts. (Praxis Studio) One of three design studio modules offered in the same semester - urban design, praxis and complex buildings.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this units students will have - Been introduced to designing in the real world. Been provided with the challenge of designing a work of architecture, full of inspirational intent, within the restraints of regulation and budget. Resolved design that avoids substantial compromise.
