Syllabus:

Problems of achieving quality in building and case study examples, introduction to quality management systems, quality control, quality assurance, cost benefits of quality, quality management system documentation, introduction to developing and implementing a quality management system, Australian and international quality standards and quality assurance certification.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- An understanding of the importance of quality in the construction industry. A general understanding of quality, quality systems and associated Australian Standards.
