Syllabus:

A critical examination of health care systems within an international context. This includes the design, implementation and evaluation of health care policy and the key issues that underlie health policy. The relationships between the powerful and the disadvantaged groups are analysed. Current and future directions in international health care are explored.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Critically examined the policy process related to health care systems. An appreciation of the relationship between key issues in health care and public policy. Compared and contrasted selected national health care systems. Critically appraised policy directions in health care internationally.
