Syllabus:

Sociology and anthropology of health and illness. Health and illness as social events, the social distribution of illness, the biomedical model of illness. Cross cultural variations. Migrant health. Epidemics. Healer and patient interaction. Medical and related institutions, health care systems and health care workers.
