Syllabus:

An integral component of the unit is a practicum of a minimum of 115 hours (three weeks full time or the equivalent). Following on from the practicum placement you will be required to develop an individual and independent project of some aspect of a records management or archives system or process within the organisation, in conjunction with the practicum mentor and your tutor.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Investigated and evaluated the records management or archives programme in the chosen organisation. Made recommendations for future developments of the programme (one of which will become the project proposal). Analysed possible implementation strategies. Implemented a suggested (small) procedural process or change (complete with policy and procedural documentation).
