Syllabus:

The elements of manufacturing costs and cost concepts. Job cost processes. The influence of activity on cost behaviour. Cost analysis for special management decisions. Budgets for planning. The comprehensive or planning budget and the various subsidiary budgets involved. Budgets for control.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Demonstrated the ability to analyse accounting data and convert it to information that can be used for evaluating, planning, controlling and decision making situations. Demonstrated the ability to apply contemporary practices in the area of management accounting. Demonstrated the ability to develop an argument in support of a proposition and present the argument to a tutorial group
