Syllabus:

Preparatory work for an individual study, research project under the direction of a tutor. The main activity will be preliminary preparation and development of the report - planning, selection, literature review. An introduction to research methodologies.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- An understanding of the types of data available from statistical and non-statistical sources, and the appropriateness of these two different types of research. An ability to consider the problem of the design of a total research programme and its implementation, and to relate this to a choice of a Project Management Report topic. Made significant progress towards the completion of the Project Management Report. Produced a draft literature review.
