Syllabus:

Role of geomechanics in mining, financial projects, operational projects and construction contracts. In house geomechanics services. Risk analysis and management. Consultants and contractors, communication and reporting. Mining research projects and professional awareness.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Understood the role of geomechanics in mining and construction contracts. Understood the use of in - house and consulting geomechanics services. Developed strategies to manage consultants and contractors. Acquired project management skills. Communicated and reported project outcomes and KPI's.
