Syllabus:

Directed study and research. Mathematical and statistical techniques for spatial data. Various interpolation techniques. Spatial statistics, Kriging. Time series analysis. Simulation techniques for spatiotemporal data. Fractal surfaces. Remote sensing data in simulation and modelling studies.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Gained skills in the advanced analysis of geographic data and become prepared for the data analysis challenges that await them in their Honours or Postgrad work.
