Syllabus:

Introduction to business law - contracts, costing, employment, trade practices and awards. Economics - micro and macro, budgeting, financial reports and accounting. Management - organisational structures, human resources management, managerial decision making, leadership, communication and continuing professional development.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Understood the need for financial management and control of a firm, the ability to relate to the public clients, Government agencies and other professionals involved in land development and mapping, learnt to apply basic management principles to the organisation and stimulate staff to achieve and adapt to changes in the marketplace.
