Syllabus:

A study in depth of a personally selected topic in the field of geology through a supervised reading program under the guidance of an individual member of the academic staff. The preparation of a 5,000 word dissertation and seminar on the chosen topic, forms the basis of assessment.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- the ability to research the literature on a selected topi and prepared a comprehensive assessment and dissertation.
