Syllabus:A specialised research program with the undertaking of a thesis, designed to suit the various objectives of students intending to advance their knowledge in the discipline. For further information refer to the Doctoral Degree Regulations at the front of this handbook (General Information Section).
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have - A deep understanding of the body of knowledge related to his/her research. Demonstrated the ability to undertake a literature search, critically analyse the conceptual themes and evaluate the impact/implications for his/her own research. Demonstrated higher order/critical thinking skills through the synthesis of a satisfactory/sound/comprehensive thesis. Sound research methodology. Demonstrated the ability to select and manage a thesis. Demonstrated the ability undertake independent research. Demonstrated the ability to collect, analyse and evaluate data.
